ABOUT KEIK BAKERY
Keik Bakery is a boutique bakery in Monument Park, Pretoria where cakes are made to celebrate life’s sweetest moments. From custom celebration cakes to elegant wedding cakes and hands-on cake decorating workshops, every Keik is created with care, creativity and the finest ingredients.
OUR NAME
Keik Bakery is inspired by the wonderful Mediterranean flavours of Greece. The word “Keik” is the Greek word for cake, and if you look up the pronunciation of cake in the dictionary, it is written as “keik.”
The name reflects the bakery’s love for beautiful cakes, celebration and sharing sweet moments with others.
THE FOUNDER
Keik Bakery is owned by Liezl de Bruyn, who studied Culinary Arts at The International Hotel School. During her internship she discovered a love for baking, which soon grew into a passion for creating beautiful cakes and desserts.
With more than 10 years of culinary experience, creativity and dedication, Liezl pursued her dream of owning her own bakery and officially launched Keik Bakery in July 2020.
